Who We Are

The Rock River Center is a designated focal point of services for Ogle County. We provide Information and Assistance, Outreach, Transportation, Recreation and Education. Trained staff can assist individuals with Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, health and prescription insurance, housing, personal care, homemaking, energy assistance and home delivered meals. Transportation is available Monday thru Friday to those age 60 and over throughout Ogle County for things such as medical appointments, shopping, beauty and social. We also provide Out-of-County transportation to Rockford, Freeport, Dixon and Sterling. Rock River Center provides activities, educational programs and recreational events to provide a positive and healthy atmosphere. Day trips, nature hikes, book clubs, card groups, Wii games, woodcarving, quilting, cooking classes, dance, theater, and nutritional information are only a fraction of the opportunities. Computer classes, job search and online classes are offered in our Community Technology Center (CTC). Our CTC has 10 new computers that provide adults in Ogle and Lee counties with the technological skills and related competencies needed to build a strong workforce. 

What We Do

The Mission of Rock River Center, Inc, is to provide resources, activities and services that improve the quality of life for Ogle County's older adults, the disadvantaged, caregivers and the greater community. The Rock River Center is a private, not-for-profit organization with services partially funded by Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging, the United Way of Ogle County and the Ogle County Board.
