Corporate Citizenship In addition to offering dignity through work, Goodwill continues to be a good citizen to the communities in which we serve. In 2011, Goodwill generated $510,000 in retail sales tax and paid employee income taxes in the amount of $245,000. Goodwill also diverted 7,363,000 pounds from our local landfills by recycling plastics, cardboard, shoes, clothing, and metals and computers.
